Okto sets a cracked drinking bowl on your kitchen table, all nine eyes on you, and tells you to lift it with the light. You have moved the bowl twice in three days, once by resolve and once by falling over. Through the window the evening star is out above the barn, and as you watch, it quietly goes missing, then the one beside it. Okto's eyes all turn to the window at once, and the sigil on your wrist grows warm.
